Tang Ligong
Summary: Tang Ligong, male. Chief surgeon of the Urology Department of the General Hospital of Central Theater Command of PLA (formerly Wuhan General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region), and director of kidney transplantation. He holds academic positions such as deputy director level member of the Wuhan Organ Transplantation Society of Hubei Province. The Urology Department of the hospital is the Guangzhou Military Region Kidney Transplantation Center, with 126 beds. According to incomplete data, the official website of the hospital reported on July 21, 2013 that the Urology Department has completed more than 1,500 kidney transplants, 130 liver transplants, and 11 liver-kidney combined transplants. Wuhan Tongji Hospital, Hubei Province People's Hospital, and Wuhan Army General Hospital (the former name of the hospital) are the three largest hospitals in Wuhan engaged in organ transplantation, mainly kidney transplantation. In 2011, the CCP’s official media reported that Wuhan Tongji Hospital performed thousands of kidney transplants each year. Telephone investigations revealed that Director of kidney transplantation Tang Ligong admitted to using Falun Gong practitioners' organs and the large number of kidney transplants.
In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, since the General Hospital of Central Theater Command of PLA (formerly Wuhan General Hospital of Guangzhou Military Region) has been involved in the crime, Tang Ligong, the director of the hospital's Kidney Transplantation Department, is a major suspect.
