Chen Zheng
Summary: Chen Zheng, male, director of the Organ Transplant Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, secretary of the Fourth Party Branch of the Panyu Campus, and chief surgeon. According to incomplete data, the organ transplant center has completed more than 3,000 kidney transplants so far, and the number of kidney transplants ranks among the top in China. In 2018, the number of kidney transplants in the hospital ranked first in Guangdong Province and fourth in the country. In a telephone investigation by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), a doctor from the hospital admitted to using Falun Gong donors, such donors were always available, they were living donors, and there were a large number of kidney transplants, with more than 300 cases in seven months.
In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and since Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University has been seriously involved in the crime, Chen Zheng, the director of the hospital's organ transplant center, is a major suspect.
Chen Zheng, male. Director of the Organ Transplantation Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University and Secretary of the Fourth Party Branch of Panyu Campus[1]. Doctor of Medical Science, Chief Surgeon, Master Supervisor. Currently serving as Secretary and Member of the Guangzhou Organ Transplantation Branch, and Member of the Organ Transplantation Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association. He studied kidney transplantation at Charite Hospital in Germany in 2010 and Massachusetts General Hospital in the United States in 2011. He has performed more than 600 corpse donor kidney transplants and nearly 300 living donor kidney transplants.[2]
During a WOIPFG telephone investigation in 2006, a doctor from the hospital admitted to using Falun Gong Practitioners as Donors, ready availability of donors, and using living donors. He said, “there was a batch of donors in mid-April 2006. Falun Gong practitioners are healthy, and the kidneys are all from young donors, about 20 to 30 years old, without infectious diseases, AIDS or syphilis” [3].
The Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University is a hospital in Guangdong Province and even in the country that started carrying out kidney transplantation early. It established its independent transplant department in January 2001. It currently has 3 professors (chief surgeons), 5 attending surgeons, and 3 surgeons. The kidney transplantation department is qualified for kidney transplantation. So far, more than 3,000 kidney transplant operations have been completed, and the number of kidney transplants ranks among the top in the country. In 2018, the number of kidney transplants in the hospital ranked first in Guangdong Province and fourth in the country, among which the number of kidney transplants using dead donors ranked second in the country. On January 24, 2019, the organ transplant center of the hospital was officially relocated to the Panyu campus[4].

Summary: We started doing it in January of this year, patients from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can all recieve (organ transplants). Last year I did more than 200 cases. This year so far, I have done more than 40 cases.

Summary: The hospital is business as usual during Chinese New Year holiday period. We do (transplants) any time, always have donors. We do at any time whenever materials are available. There will be four operations tomorrow. We did about 260 cases in 2016.

Summary: It’s only in July now, but over three hundred cases have been done. Now the volume is very large. Usually at least two hundred and fifty cases or more in a year. Where do the organs come from? This is something I dare not say! Our kidney source is the most extensive! The biggest feature of our hospital is that we have living donors, from brain-dead patients[7].
