Summary: Sun Qiquan, Administrative Director of the Renal Transplantation Department of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. Former Director of the Renal Transplantation Department of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, Professor. He has performed more than 1,000 kidney transplant operations. Former Chief Expert of the Renal Transplantation Department of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University. The Organ Transplantation Institute of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University stated that "the number and quality of kidney transplants are constantly improving each year. It is expected that the number of kidney transplants in the hospital will reach more than 200 cases per year in the next few years, ranking among the top in China and Guangdong Province." A doctor from Guangxi Nationalities Hospital testified that the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University could find such Falun Gong donors.

In June 2021, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital hired Sun Qiquan and his kidney transplant team to establish the Renal Transplantation Department. Since the Renal Transplantation Department became an independent department in July 2021, the number of kidney transplant operations has increased "by leaps and bounds". According to incomplete data, the hospital's kidney transplantation department completed a total of 103 kidney transplants in 2023, nearly three times the annual number of operations before the department was opened.

In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, and since Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital is allegedly involved in it, Sun Qiquan, Director of the Renal Transplantation Department, is a major suspect.

Sun Qiquan, professor, researcher and administrative director of the Renal Transplantation Department of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. Leading talent of the National "Ten Thousand Talents Plan". Former director and professor of the Renal Transplantation Department of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University. National committee member of the Organ Transplantation Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and vice chairman of the Organ Transplantation Society of the Nanjing Military Region. He was the deputy director of the Transplantation Center of Nanjing General Hospital of the Nanjing Military Region of the Communist Party of China and has been engaged in clinical work in kidney transplantation for more than ten years. He also received postdoctoral training at the Organ Transplantation Center of Ohio State University in the United States. He is engaged in kidney transplantation surgery and perioperative management.[1]

He’s been engaged in clinical and scientific research work in kidney transplantation for more than 20 years. He has performed more than 1,000 kidney transplants.[2]

He was formerly the "chief expert" of the kidney transplantation department of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University[3]. The Research Institute of Organ Transplantation of the Third Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-Sen University stated that “the number and quality of kidney transplants are continuously increasing every year.
