Li Guangming
Summary: Li Guangming, male, Director of the Organ Transplant Center at Beijing Youan Hospital, Chief Surgeon, and Professor. According to official information, Beijing Youan Hospital is the largest liver transplant center among Beijing municipal medical institutions. The transplant center at this hospital was established in 2003. This center and the Thomas E. Starzl Organ Transplantation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh jointly established the Sino-US Liver Transplant Collaboration Center. The number of annul liver transplants at this center reaches the leading level in China. As of November 2022, Li Guangming had performed over 1,500 various liver transplant surgeries.
The phone investigations by WOIPFG showed the wait time for organ transplants is so short at this hospital that possibly the surgery can be done right after the patient is admitted. The five liver transplant teams can perform 200 to 300 transplants per year and all its beds are filled. So this hospital is suspected of forced organ harvesting. In view of the broader background of the Chinese Communist Party's state crime of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, since Beijing Youan Hospital, Capital Medical University, has been involved in the crime, Li Guangming, as the director of the Organ Transplant Center, is a suspect in the case.
Li Guangming
Personal Profile: male, Director of Organ Transplant Center, Chief Surgeon, Professor[1]. As of November 2022, he had performed more than 1,500 various liver transplant surgeries[2].
Beijing Youan Hospital, Capital Medical University, is the largest clinical specialty hospital for hepatobiliary diseases in China[3]. The liver transplant center was established in 2003, and it established Liver Transplant Collaboration Center with the Thomas E. Starzl Organ Transplant Center of the University of Pittsburgh. Professor Zhu Yue and Professor Yan Lunan of the Liver Transplant Center of West China Hospital are the honorary directors. The collaborative relationships with more than ten renowned liver transplant centers in China were established as well[4]. According to official information, the Hepatobiliary Surgery Department of this hospital has developed into the largest liver transplant center among Beijing's municipal medical units, with the number of liver transplants performed annually ranking among the highest in the country[5].
The hospital's liver transplant team is large, and the actual volume of liver transplants is significant. According to telephone investigations by WOIPFG, the hospital has extremely short organ wait times, " Maybe you can have (a transplant) as soon as you come. There are five liver transplant teams, which can do 200 to 300 liver transplants a year. The beds are fully occupied."

Living Organ Donor Banks and Organ Harvesting from Living Donors
Zhang Zhen, a liver transplant doctor at Beijing Youan Hospital, Capital Medical University: The donors are usually asked to read books every day as their primary activity, and they typically sleep until after 3 a.m. (Based on this description, the “donors” are suspected to be Falun Gong practitioners detained in organ banks, because organ donors who can read books cannot be brain-dead individuals.).
